Heis returns with the ninth installment of the Helluva Year series, this time joined by BlvckSoul, his longtime producer, engineer and friend. Over the past seven years they have collaborated on many songs, but never a full album. This time, they’ve curated an experience with Soul providing immersive production as a foundation for Heis to spill his heart lyrically, taking the listener on a journey of discovery and enlightenment.

Always a Student is a three act story of bravado, growth and acceptance with an emphasis on the passion to keep learning. Being a student means staying curious and open to new ideas and experiences. Endings lead to new beginnings, so there isn’t a destination when it comes to growth, it’s a lifelong journey.
